Here's The Clue:
Based upon its brain-to-body-weight ratio, which was enormous by the standards of other animals of its time, this dinosaur is one of the most intelligent if not the smartest of all dinosaurs. Aside from its large brain, it had a number of special qualities. Its large eyes suggest a nocturnal lifestyle and their position implies that both eyes could focus simultaneously on one object which would have helped it to judge distance.
